2 Pomegranates with the seeds removed
1/2 or a Red Cabbage finely chopped

Mix together and enjoy! This is such a sweet and savory salad, I just can't get enough of it. I talk about it in my current video.

LFRV Portobello Mushroom Burgers

IMG_9540[1]

Burger Patties:
2 Carrots
1 Stick Celery
1/2 C Sunflower Seeds
1/4 C Ground Flax
1/4 C Sundried Tomatoes
1 Pinch Cumin
1 lemon Juiced

Put everything together in the food processor and chop until it's all blended together and shape them into patties in your dehydrator. Leave them in there for about 2-4 hours and flip them once.

Pickles:
3 Small Pickling Cucumbers Chopped
1 More Lemon Juiced (This is the last one, I promise)
1/4 Cup White Onions Minced
1 Small Handful of Dill Chopped
1 Clove of Garlic Minced

Mix together and set aside. These are even better the next day.

Coleslaw:
1/2 a Green Cabbage Finley Chopped
1 Small Container of Radish Sprouts
1/4 Cup Raw Tahini
1 Lime Juiced
1/4 Teaspoon Mustard Powder

Blend together the tahini, lime, and mustard powder then add the cabbage and radish sprouts. This can be eaten separately or enjoyed on your burger if you want more fat. This recipe can still be 80/10/10 if you haven't had any for a few days. If you want to make it lower fat I would recommend keeping the sunflower seeds and taking out all the other extra fat and you'll still have an amazing flavor experience.

Guacamole:
1 Avocado
1 Lemon Juiced

Mash it up together and set aside and finally get ready to assemble the your burgers!

Portobello Mushroom Burgers:
4 Portobello Mushrooms Washed with the stems cut out
1 Large Heirloom Tomato Sliced in thick slices

Once you have all you everything ready put them together using your mushroom caps on the bottom. Add the coleslaw, then your burger patty, guacamole, pickles and tomatoes on top. Get ready to have the best Raw Vegan Burger ever!

Is Salt a Health Food?

My latest video on Salt and Sodium. I'm really glad I was able to find this information on http://www.30bananasaday.com. It can be hard to sort through it all and find the truth but it's worth it if you are looking to be as healthy as you can possibly be. After dealing with my own cravings and facing the facts here's the conclusion that I came to.

You can pre-order it on the left of this blog.

LFRV Daily

Since trying 80 10 10 I felt better and better about myself, my health, my house, and where I live. Everything has the potential to get better and for me raw food started it all. It uses food purely for energy and health. It's was such a vibrant way to live it made me so happy that I found this lifestyle.
I've healed from acne with scarring, migraines, headaches, hypothyroidism, seizures, PMS, digestion issues, insomnia, cellulite, anemia, depression and more. I always felt healthy and I rarely got sick with a cold but something was missing from my life, I wasn't feeling completely happy and full of life; I just never would have known it without trying 80 10 10.
When I met my fiancee he told me about raw food. We did so many cleanses together and started to feel more and more alive. With each cleanse or fast we realized we wanted to feel better and we did!
As soon as we started raw food we really sped things up. I noticed that all of my conditions went away. I felt like I had the best vibrational energy moving through my body. It felt like each cell of my body was waking up. I lost that extra 10 pounds, my skin felt softer, I haven't had a migraine or headache since then, I slept better, I had the energy to workout, my breath smelt better, my consciousness expanded and I felt better than I could have ever imagined possible. You don't know until you try it!

Thanks to Doug Graham, Freelee The Banana Girl, Durian Rider, Matt and Angel Monarch, Fully Raw Christina, Megan Elizabeth, Kris Kendall, Handy Man Bananas, and The Life Regenerator for all the amazing information and giving me the courage to try it!

What I eat on 811 Low Fat Raw Vegan

I'm back, I finally have an internet connection. I'm so happy to be back online I thought I'd share my meals.

Here's my video! This is what I eat on a typical day for the best health I've ever experienced. I've also healed from multiple conditions that I describe on the channel. This lifestyle can heal just about anything. I realized it wasn't right to trade my health for unhealthy foods. I decided to make a change in my life and it's worked great for me so far.

Raw Chocolate Anise Biscotti

This was a great treat after eating so much fruit and veggies. It tastes like chocolate cake with the feel of biscotti.

Biscotti:
1/2 cup unrolled oats
1/2 cup flax seeds
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup coconut sugar
5 tbs water
3 tbs honey
1 tea anise

Chocolate:
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup almonds
3 tbs coconut oil
2 tbs cacao powder

Blend all the dry biscotti ingredients together in a blender or food processor until it resembles a fine powder and add the wet ingredients. Add extra water if needed to make it a bread dough consistency and form out into a 2 inch tall loaf on a dehydrator sheet. Set asset 125 degrees and leave it for about 24 hours until dry. Then cut with a serrated knife in 1/2 inch strips and dehydrate again until dry.
For the chocolate mix everything in the blender and dip the biscotti in it. Let it set on wax paper in the freezer and there you have it.
Sooner than later I will make a video of this. I know it's so much easier to see how it's done. This recipe is soo good it deserves the video!

Raw Aloha Roll

I
ngredients

1 Mango sliced
1 Avocado scooped out and sliced
1 Jicama ground in a food processor or blended
1/2 of a Daikon Radish chopped in long strips
1/2 of a Cucumber chopped in strips
1/4 cup thinly sliced Green Onions
1 tsp Sesame Seeds
Raw Nori sheets
A bamboo sushi rolling mat

1/2 cup Water

Sauce
5 tbsp of Braggs Liquid Aminos
1 tsp Raw Honey
1 tsp Wasabi

This is my new favorite way to enjoy raw sushi. We had this with another mushroom sushi for dinner the other night and it was amazing!
Start by thinly slicing all the veggies in lengthwise strips, except the jicama, and green onions. Peel the jicama and cube it, next add it to your blender with a cup or 2 of water. Blend until smooth, and strain in a nut milk bag, or cheese cloth until all the water is out and set aside. Arrange each item on your counter-top so that they are easily accessible, don't forget water, and place the bamboo mat in the middle, you don't have to use one, but it really makes a big difference. I coat mine with plastic wrap to prevent sticking, you could use just plastic wrap to roll the sushi,
So to start lay out a sheet of nori on you bamboo mat and add all the fillings saving the sesame seeds and green onion for the top. I added a small rectangle on the lower 1/3 of the nori of jicama as a rice substitute and then add the rest of the vegitables so that they are aligned horizontally and easly to roll up. I'll have to post a video and pictures of this soon.
So once you have all you fillings in you're ready to roll, start with the bottom and roll the bamboo mat over the top and without roll the bamboo into the sushi press down all the veggies so that they are very compact and roll the rest of the nori around your sushi roll, at the end get a little water on your fingers and dab the end of the nori along the edge to seal it. Make sure it's sealed and cut the roll into 1 inch segments. Repeat until you have no more veggies left, mix the sauce together, and enjoy!

Writer's Block: Far and away

Describe your dream vacation.
Any tropical Island, New Zealand,  Fiji, or Bali as long as they have lots of fresh raw food I would be there in a heartbeat.

Alkaline and Acidity

Here's a website with lots of helpful information on alkalizing the body. Last night I had this bloated head-achey feeling so I decided to test my ph and it was on the acid side. After looking at this chart I realized I had way too much sugar yesterday with some olives, and chocolate. All of those are really high on the acid forming side. The best part about it was that I found seaweed is super alkaline so I ate 3 sheets of nori and tested myself this morning and I was in the 7.2 range (that's in the alkaline). So the good news is that it's easy to fix with a little knowledge of this stuff. Some people try to sell things that we put in our water to balance our bodies, but when we rely on food it's a much better method to know that our body is doing good.
